Château de Brégançon
Situated in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation, Château de Brégançon covers 450 hectares, 43 of which are given over to vine-growing. The estate’s vines grow on different types of soil, mainly clay-siliceous, with a few sandy plots near the beach and vines benefiting from schistous soil in the upper part of the estate, characteristic of the LA LONDE terroir. This diversity of soils brings a unique richness and complexity to the wines. In addition, the proximity of the sea plays an essential role, giving the wines a hint of iodine and a much-appreciated minerality.
The château’s production is divided between the three colours: 60% rosé, 30% red and 10% white. The grape varieties grown, typical of the Provencal terroir, are carefully selected. The rosés are a blend of Grenache and Cinsault, while the reds are made from Syrah and Mourvèdre. The whites are mainly made from Rolle, Sémillon and Ugni Blanc. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and some of the estate’s great wines are matured for several months in oak barrels. Château de Brégançon Cru Classé, which focuses on quality rather than quantity, produces around 200,000 bottles each year. In this way, it gives priority to local sales while opening up to exports.
The traditions, know-how, history and privileged location of the château, combined with the Tezenas family’s unwavering commitment to this winegrowing adventure, have made this site a benchmark for Provencal wines.

“Rosé production has long been a speciality in Provence, an art of living”.
The Côtes de Provence appellation has been recognised since 1977. It is known as the flagship rosé appellation, accounting for 90% of the wine produced in Côtes de Provence. The vineyards of Provence are divided into three appellations: Coteaux Varois en Provence, Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence and Côtes de Provence. Provence is the world’s leading rosé-producing region, with an average annual production of 962,000 hectolitres, or 128 million bottles. There are 5 main natural zones within the appellation: the maritime border, the inland valley, the hills of the Haut Pays, the Beausset basin and Mount Sainte-Victoire. Within these large areas, there are 5 terroir denominations: Sainte-Victoire, Fréjus, La Londe, Notre Dame des Anges and Pierrefeu. These ‘denominations de terroir’ correspond to official recognition by the INAO of a specific type of wine and ‘terroir’.
Every year, at the end of summer, a very special atmosphere settles over the Château de Brégançon vineyards. The harvest is not just a technical stage: it marks the high point of a cycle, a suspended moment charged with emotion, precision and expertise.
The traditions, know-how, history and privileged location of the château, combined with the Tezenas family’s unwavering commitment to this winegrowing adventure, make this site a benchmark for Provence wines.
At the heart of this effervescence, Christophe Cottone, the estate’s cellar master, embodies the exacting standards and passion that drive our vision of wine. For over thirty years, he has watched over every detail, from the vine to the vat, with almost choreographic attention.
For him, each harvest is a new score to interpret: observation, analysis, choosing the right moment, respecting the rhythm of nature while guiding the team with precision and humanity. Under his direction, the harvest becomes a collective work, where every hand counts, every gesture has meaning, and where the transformation of fruit into wine becomes a living alchemy.
